Here on the outskirts of Chester, our food department is bursting with fresh, local produce from the area all year round - with seasonal fruits and vegetables from Cheshire and Lancashire, organic and fair-trade ranges all sourced from local suppliers wherever possible.  In fact, many of them are located in Chester, North Wales and the North West.

A hamper is the perfect way to treat a friend or loved one at any time of year.  We have a great selection to choose from and of course, we can help you create your own bespoke hamper filled with items from any of our departments, for a thoughtful gift no matter where their interests may lie. 

Everyday Essentials...

With many award-winning ranges, choose from everyday items including bread, organic & free range eggs, farm butter, pates and cheeses, pasta and ready made meals to jams, chutneys, pickles and sauces, not to mention luxurious treats including cakes made in our Cafe bakery and available here in the food department for you to buy to take home!

Our food department focuses on offering natural products and, following customer comments and requests, we are always sourcing products suitable for special dietary requirements.  We now offer low fat foods, sugar-free biscuits suitable for diabetics and gluten-free savoury and sweet biscuits and cakes.  Some varieties are even dairy and wheat-free too!  We can also offer crispbreads made without any fats or additives.

Real Ales, Liqueurs and our new Wine Selection...

Have you tried our local ales, ciders and liqueurs? We are always on the lookout for more new additions so why not tell us your favourite local beer and we will try to source it for you!  We source our wines in conjunction with Fells who act as exclusive distributors for the wine companies in their portfolio. 

Fells was founded in 1858 and is one of the leading importers of fine wines in the UK.  

Dave and Mark receive regular updates on new introductions to ensure you receive excellent quality wines at the best prices. 

Food lovers, don’t miss our Farmers’ Market here every second Friday of the month!  Don't forget you can buy some of the produce available at our Farmers' Market every day in the food department, including Orchard Pigs' tasty pies, Veggie Fayre brownies and Castell Farm organic eggs.
