Real Ales, Liqueurs and our new Wine Selection

Here at Grosvenor, seasonal and locally produced food is always on the table. 

Small brewers located as close to the Garden Centre as Frodsham, Mollington, Stapeley near Nantwich, Warrington and Waverton, each use wholesome ingredients to create a wonderful, varied selection to suit all tastes here at Grosvenor and now we have introduced a new selection of wine to add to our popular range of local ales and liqueurs so you can enjoy the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

Our wines have been especially selected for us by Garry Clark, award-winning Sommelier at The Chester Grosvenor.  With 25 wines to choose from, there is sure to be one to suit every taste.

Our selection includes:
- Chapel Down, Flint Dry, Kent, England
- Chateau Baudoc, Bordeaux Rose, Bordeaux, France
- Le Altanza, Gran Reserva Rioja, Rioja, Spain
- Ridgeview Vineyards, Grosvenor Cuvee Merret, Sussex, England

Whether you are looking for a flavoursome, well rounded taste, or a milder, gentle glass of beer, you can choose from flavours such as Basketcase, Blueberry Classic Bitter, Cheshire Gold, Devil’s Garden, Frodsham 800, Ironman, Northgate Ale, Oak Beauty, Old Faithful, Splash and Thirst Quencher here at Grosvenor.  And believe us, they are all well worth a try! Simply ask Dave or Mark for their recommendations when you next visit our food department.

If you prefer a delicious liqueur that packs a punch, choose from Crab Apple, Damson, Elderberry, Silky Raspberry and Sloe.  Each can be enjoyed neat or mixed, chilled, at room temperature or over ice.  Mmmmmm!

Spitting Feathers Brewery

Spitting Feathers Brewery is a family brewery based at Common Farm in the village of Waverton, only a few miles from the Garden Centre.

Using traditional methods of quality beer production, Spitting Feathers’ ales are free from colourings, flavourings and other artificial additives and are made from the finest barley malts, wheat, yeast, hops and water.

Choose your favourite...

Farmhouse Ale 3.6%
A golden session bitter.  Traditional English malts and hops combine to make this a well balanced and satisfying beer.

Thirst Quencher 3.9%
A fine light pale beer.  Lots of late hops lead to a clean, crisp finish.

Special Ale 4.2%
A malty, chestnut brown beer.  The full malt taste balances well with hop bitterness and fruit flavours.

Old Wavertonian 4.4%
A robust dark stout.  Roast barley, chocolate and coffee flavours give a very full body and a smooth lingering finish.

Basket Case 4.8%
A dark ruby strong ale, rich and fruity full flavour with a smooth finish.

Devil's Garden 3.9%
An amber bronze with a traditional biscuit flavour and raisin after-taste.

Frodsham 800 4.7%
An award-winning golden bitter beer.

Iron Man 4.5%

A refreshing, summer beer with a crisp, citrus, hoppy flavour.
